So who am I?

Book Mark My Page! There will be updates...

A little history on me ......

A family Christmas Card from 1968

So who am I now? ...

I'm a never-married, 39-year-old, very monogamous Virgo, 6' tall.  I have green eyes, am dark-complected (German, Indian & Irish), 215 lbs., broad-shouldered, and reasonably muscular. I am well off and I learned a long time ago that money will not buy you happiness.  I'm truly excited about life every day! I  sometimes will grow a goatee for a week when I'm bored with my look. I'm a confident (not cocky), extremely open, honest, giving & understanding person who loves to help others. I would consider myself a white-collar entrepreneur, very health-conscious, psychology oriented, knowledge sponge of anything new, analytical, very resourceful, optimistic, very logical, tastefully bold, secure, very open-minded, non-judgmental, down-to-earth, environmentally conscious, heavy conversationalist, family oriented, outgoing, tenacious, intrigued by new technologies, like to dress in fashion but not stuffy, and love to laugh & help others. If you find deep conversation stimulating, I think we will get along.  I think that I am a better friend to women than I am to men.

I am a closet Oprah fan.  I think she should be shown in school classrooms to children. I went to the Dr. Phil seminar when he was in town to see if I could learn more.  I believe his views are sometimes too simplistic. I love to go shopping at Wal-mart holding hands with my sweetie.  I have recently found yoga to really be an incredible thing to ground yourself.  There is an unbelievably strong desire within me to try to help others.  It's not because I'm wanting their acceptance, it just makes me feel good to solve a problem no one else can.  I can usually come up with a very creative and logical means of solving a problem even though I’ve never worked in that field or industry. This gives me a real rush, especially when it comes to applying technology or improving communications  (like this web site).   I'm working on a few patent ideas in my spare time. I also believe that we could cure or prevent most all diseases if there was not so much money in treating them and more in curing them.  I say let’s make the nobel prize one billion dollars for anyone that cures cancer or heart attacks.  The drug companies would drop their research on their patented drugs and solve the problem real quick!  Don't get me started...

If you were my significant other what could you expect from me?  Well, I'm very affectionate and have a gift for knowing what is wrong with people and what makes them tight and how to massage away the problem.  I love giving people massages.   It is a special gift that is much better than a birthday card, especially if they are having a problem.  Yes, if I was romantically involved with someone, massage could be a nice start to a very passionate love making session. On nights when we go out, I may open your door when I want a reason to stick my head in on your side and steal a kiss.  I have always wanted a very secure significant other that would sit around and just gaze at the stars with me.  Maybe she would help me cook a meal and then after dinner go out in the hot tub and gaze at the moon and talk about some deep subject like why are we here.  Spending a day experimenting with photography in a park some where with her is something I dreamed about too.  I really want to be able to have deep conversations with her.  I want her to be able to understand the deep thoughts that I have sometimes.   I have got an unreal imagination, so I have been told.  I love psychology.  Figuring out people’s motivations in life is fascinating to me. Sometimes I think should have been a Psychologist.  I seem to have a way with sensing what people are feeling.  Sometimes I wish I could turn it off.  It gets me in trouble.   I have really loved decorating with my lover in the past.  When I get into a relationship it's weird; it's like I become Bob Vila.  All of a sudden I want to work on my house and decorate it. I love that show "Interior Motives" on TLC (i know the guy is gay) Who cares!  I have done a lot of photo shoots for my business and once produced an infomercial.  It really inspired me to get into decorating my house.  I never realized that decorating is just making a set like in the movies.  You have props and things to make you feel like you are somewhere you are not.  My living room is like an Indiana Jones movie set.  I want to do my bedroom like that, but can't find the right items.  Besides, decorating is no fun by myself without my significant other.  Most of the time I really don't care what others think of me. Peer pressure is not something I succumb to at all.

Why is it hard to meet Mrs. Right?

I like to eat real healthy.  I DON'T like spectator sports.  I expect my mate to be very secure with herself.  know what she wants, I want her to be very attractive yet still down to earth and not judgmental.

My Line of Work?:

I own a business that  distributes industrial measurement controls.  We sell to industrial plants (refineries, chemical plants, etc.)

Here are some subtleties and beliefs that I have learned about myself that make me who I am: I go out of my way to be courteous.  Consideration for others is typically a function of mental capacity rather than conscious choice.  I am extremely passionate about everything I do and it shows when people meet me.  Very rarely well you ever hear me say that something can't be done.  Everything you do starts with an attitude of how bad you want it.  I think charades is a blast and a challenge to the mind and the body.  I make lists of what I want to get done, What we put in our body will undoubtedly over time affect our thoughts and therefore our personality and how we see the world.   I attribute a great deal of the formulation of my confidence to clearer thinking through vitamin supplements.  Very few people in life experience the true rewards a great relationship can offer.  "Perception is reality... until replaced by reality" -- Rod Barnett,  Living to be 110 years old is not unrealistic at all.  I cannot tolerate arrogance!,  I do not get along well with pessimists that have no vision.   I can tell for the most part what someone will order in subway based upon how they look.  Alternative energy sources exist, but have been suppressed.

DISLIKES: smoking, obsessive sports fans, closed-minds, unexpressive and unaffectionate people, pessimism, congested city areas, and a lack of imagination, cold or humid weather (yes I want to move to the west CA, AZ somewhere like that.)My Cats: The top photo is "Q" (Star Trek Next Gen) and the bottom one is "She She"... The Columbine Shooting didn't happen because K-mart sold bullets!

Religious beliefs: I was raised Baptist until my mother died when I was eleven.  From there on out it was raised basic Christian from the influence of my relatives.   I try to pray every couple of nights or so although sometimes I get busy and I forget to.   I don't like religious denominations.  I believe they tend to segregate people.   I don't believe that going to church makes you more or less religious.  Religion is in your heart.

We aren't accountable to our intentions, but our perceptions...  Perception is reality, until replaced by reality...   - Rod  Barnett

Music I like?

Mostly country right now.  I go through phases.

Some of the names in my MP3 collection:

Jo Dee Messina, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney,  Keith Urban, Martina Mc Bride. Then I have all other kinds from Foo Fighters to Phil Collins.  I listen to 93.7 (The Bull) in St.Louis most of the time.

Q.jpg (10259 bytes)I LIKE: If the weather is nice: boating, riding my stand up "Jet -Ski", wine and wineries, scuba diving, paint ball games, motocross biking, hiking, camping wineries, bed and breakfasts, horse back riding (I love horses), sky jumping (not that often)

Favorite Things to Do: laughing (and making others laugh), travel, kissing, exploring intimacies with my lover, Yoga, watching Oprah with my lover, experimenting with changing core beliefs through hypnosis, I love computers (I don't chat at all!) I do all sorts of things on them, environmental preservation, cooking a gourmet meal and sitting out on the deck at night, Karaoke, (I'm a real fan and have all my own equipment and love it), being around all kinds of animals, deserts of the west coast, cats, I love watching a good movie in my home theater, listening to all kinds of music (especially country and light rock (I have recently become a big MP3 down loader and love it)  I find nature fascinating, I like blue jeans, healthy foods (organic and no red meat) / vitamins/life extension, 3-D photographyalways.gif (17193 bytes) (hope to do more of this with next person I meet) This is the coolest thing you have ever seen..

Other Interests: Nostradamus, alternative medicines, massage (I have gotten a lot of massages and have become very good at giving them- get your mind out of the gutter this is a giving thing for me) hypnosis (learning this is one of the most fascinating things that I have ever done), psychology, cooking, Chinese food, giving massages, motocross, fishing once in a while, working out, dancing, garage sales, the Discovery/Learning Channel.  I believe in UFOs, computers, and think that parenting is the most important job in the world.  "Always" , "Ghost" ,"Raiders of the lost ark" and "Platoon" are favorite movies of mine..

For those of you that think that I believe I'm God's gift to women, you're wrong...  I'm God's gift to one special woman out there somewhere...   Yes, I believe that I am a good catch -- if I'm what you are fishing for. I'm looking for a "best friend" in a lover -- I believe that the satisfaction derived from a relationship is directly proportional to how redeeming you find your mate's qualities to be.  I also believeSheshe1.jpg (32543 bytes) that there are no good or bad qualities within people, only ones that are more or less appropriate for them in their eyes.

Me with a friend's Baby "Little Jimmy"

Remember that I’m NOT doing this to meet a lot of women or because I have a problem getting dates -- or even because I like casual dating. I don’t! I can assure you that there are things I need to work on about myself as we all do. With that said, I believe that you will be hard-pressed to find anyone more determined to make a change about themselves when they set their mind to it.

So What's Wrong With Me?

1) I bite my nails (working on it)

2) I want to help others sometimes -- even when they don't want my advice

3) Although being very open has it's advantages, I need to learn to think more before I speak sometimes.

4) I could lose about 20 lbs. to be in very good shape (Working on it.  I was a stress eater)

5) I need to learn to relax more often. The right woman relationship could help this.

6) I need to learn not to try and cram so much into my free time that I stress from having to much to do.

7) I could always be a become a better listener

8) I fart in my sleep ( just kidding )

9) I can't stop messing with the surround sound remote during movies

10) I tend to try and do to many things in one weekend and can get stressed about the schedule.  I'm getting better at this
